Sr. Critical Infrastructure Security Consultant
Summary
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Q-CERT
Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) team to provide expert
guidance on improving information security at Critical Sector
Organizations (CSOs).
This position is located in Doha, Qatar.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with clients to improve their security posture by providing
expert guidance
- Help to conduct risk-based security assessments
- Help to develop suitable governance structures
- Develop measurement and compliance mechanisms to monitor
improvements
- Provide objective advice and guidance over a wide range of
technologies
- Provide industry-specific security expertise at a national
level
- Project manage activities over the lifecycle of customer
engagements
Essential Skills and Abilities
Candidates should have at least 10 years experience in IT security
and its management with degree-level qualification in IT with a focus
on technical and security domains.
Desirable candidates should have up-to-date knowledge of security
technologies, products, and techniques, in an area of critical
national infrastructure such as
- Energy sector experience and specifics (including SAP and
SCADA/control systems)
- Information and communication technologies sector experience and
specifics (including telecommunications billing systems, UTMS, GSM,
and MPLS)
- Healthcare sector experience (including electronic health record
systems, clinical data management, electronic prescription,
information governance, and privacy)
- Government sector experience (including national identity systems
and government portals)
Candidates should also possess
- Knowledge of risk assessment techniques as well as ISO27001
- Understanding of business continuity processes and disaster recovery
- Strong project and program management skills
- Excellent presentation and communications (both written and oral)
- Excellent English language skills are essential
- Experience in critical information infrastructure protection at a national level is desirable
- Arabic language skills will be an advantage
Qualifications
Candidates for this position must be able to
- relocate to Doha, Qatar
- pass a background investigation
- travel to other locations in Doha, Qatar and CMU/SEI/CERT
Pittsburgh office; and travel frequently to local client sites and
workshop venues
