The first Doha Information Security Conference will be held June 10-11 at the Al Sharq hotel. The conference, which is managed by World Trade Center Qatar, will address several important and emerging areas of information security that are of concern to business and government attendees. The sessions are designed to highlight, discuss, and address the importance of people, processes, and technology in managing information security. They will include discussions of the following topics:
Dr. Daniel Phelps, a member of the steering committee, states, "The topics for this conference were chosen to highlight the integrated nature of people, process, and technology for the effective management of information security. The speakers were chosen for their international and local experience so they can address issues of concern that are relevant to organizations in Qatar and the Gulf region. Recognizing the local expertise available in Q-CERT and ictQATAR, several sessions will have speakers or panelists from these organizations."
