The Qatar Information Security Forum (QISF) is an information security gathering for IT / IT security professionals and academics for open discussion of current trends and issues related to information security. The forum will target strategic, managerial, operational, and technical issues, and it will provide an environment to share and discuss topics with leading national, regional, and world experts in the field.
The forum provides its members with access to the latest thinking on information security trends and issues, as well providing a platform for networking and discussing issues with peers from different industries. Vendor independence and objectivity ensure that discussion can be open and constructive with no commercial bias.
QISF is a non-profit initiative, sponsored by Q-CERT and managed in collaboration with the following organizations:

Julia will talk about information security governance, what it takes to build a security business case, and how to determine the return on investment. She will also identify key questions for senior leaders to ask of their business managers, CIO, and IT staff when determining how successful their IT strategy is.

Before joining the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), she held the position of vice president at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where she was responsible for starting a new software division specializing in embedded systems software for government customers. She was at SAIC for 8 years. Julia also spent 10 years at TRW (now Experian) in Redondo Beach, California, with a range of assignments from integration, test, and field site support to managing major software development programs. |
